"Where Dylan mommie?"

o

My sweet, but wild and onry little man started pre-school today,(along with half of the nursery/sunbeam classes from our ward :))

And about every 5 minutes all I heard from his little sister (who's his best, and worst friend) was "where Dylan, where Dylan mommie?" Every time she said that I thought "Oh, poor Mrs. Aimee, I wonder if she is ready to return him to us yet?!"

I have decided that they are like having twins (at the ages they are now). They are 18 months apart, but now that Madison can do and say everything that her brother can, it's like having 2 of a kind! They fight over the same things, they want the exact same thing as the other one, and they're both still VERY dependent on me. Don't get me wrong, life is definitely easy now then when my 3rd was born! Nonetheless, it's still exhausting.

Eventually, Maddie got bored and decided she wanted to be spider man and chase me. However, I guess I wasn't as fun as Dylan is, so she ditched that idea after about 1 minute :)

A surprise from the very beginning!!!

Today, I put Madison (who turned 2 years old, 3 months ago) to nap in her "big girl" bed and she decided to get out, take her pants and diaper off, and PEE on the floor. So I go in there to spank her & put her back in bed & she tells me she peed. So I put her on the pot to show her that it's not OK, after a few seconds she says "I gonna poop!", my reaction was "ya right, you've been sittin' on the pot for almost a year (just for kicks), and we've never seen a drop come out of that little hiney!" Sure enough, she drops a load, after a load, after a LOAD (of POOP)!!! I hadn't even started talking about potty training her! How'd I get so lucky?

But then again, she has been full of surprises. Some pleasant, like sleeping 12-13 hrs. at night when she was 8 weeks old till she was one year! Some NOT so pleasant, like being breached and breaking my water with her foot- down- out through you know where! She couldn't wait for the doctors to give my ANY medicine, nor could she wait for them to do an emergency c-section. Her reaction to the nurses pushing her feet back up inside me, was not what she had in mind so she just kicked further out. She is very stubborn and knows what she wants, that was a prime example!

She wanted to call daddy and grandma (both at work) and tell them what she did in the potty. Daddy thought she should get ice cream, but I'm not quite convinced that she "gets" it. We shall see...
